Terms of Use

AtSea Job

Effective Date: 11 September 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the AtSea Job platform (the “Platform”, “AtSea Job” or the “Service”).

The Platform is operated by:

By registering, creating an account, uploading a CV, posting a vacancy, submitting an application, inviting a candidate to an interview or otherwise using AtSea Job, the user confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms.

Where a user acts on behalf of a legal entity, shipowner, ship manager, technical manager, crewing company or other organisation, that user represents that they have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that organisation.

1. Purpose of AtSea Job

AtSea Job is a digital platform intended to facilitate professional interaction within the maritime industry.

The Platform may provide functionality including:

seafarer profiles;
electronic CV creation and storage;
automated CV recognition;
professional document management;
vacancy publication;
candidate search;
candidate filtering;
job applications;
interview invitations;
online interviews;
recruitment workflow management;
certificate and document management;
communication between seafarers and employers;
notifications;
other maritime recruitment-related services.

INMARINE-FZCO may modify, extend or improve Platform functionality from time to time.

2. No Guarantee of Employment

AtSea Job provides technical tools for interaction between candidates and employers.

Use of the Platform does not guarantee:

employment;
an interview;
execution of an employment contract;
any particular salary;
assignment to any particular vessel;
verification of a user's qualifications;
acceptance of a candidate by an employer.

Recruitment decisions are made independently by candidates and employers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, INMARINE-FZCO is not a party to an employment agreement concluded between a seafarer and an employer.

3. Registration

Certain Platform functionality may require registration.

Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

Users must promptly notify INMARINE-FZCO if they suspect unauthorised access to their account.

4. Seafarer Accounts

A seafarer may create an account directly, or an account may be created by an authorised company representative or Platform administrator.

Where an account is created by an administrator, the seafarer may receive a temporary password.

AtSea Job may require the user to change that temporary password immediately after the first login.

The seafarer remains responsible for the accuracy of their CV, professional experience, qualifications and documentation.

5. Company Accounts

Registered companies may use AtSea Job to search candidates, publish vacancies and manage recruitment processes.

Each company is responsible for:

the accuracy of its vacancies;
its authority to conduct recruitment;
activities performed by its employees and users;
assignment of roles and access permissions;
compliance with applicable law;
lawful processing of candidate personal data.

A company administrator may grant Platform access to other employees according to available roles and permissions.

6. Candidate CVs and Information

Seafarers may upload CVs or create CVs using AtSea Job.

Users represent that information supplied by them is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Users must not knowingly submit false information, including:

fabricated employment history;
false ranks;
forged certificates;
false sea service records;
false employer information;
forged passports, licences or endorsements;
third-party personal information without a lawful basis.

AtSea Job may restrict access to accounts where there are reasonable indications of fraud or material misrepresentation.

7. Automated CV Recognition

AtSea Job may use automated technologies, including artificial intelligence, to analyse CVs and documents.

The Platform may automatically identify or extract:

names;
ranks;
contact details;
profile photographs;
passport details;
Seaman's Books;
Certificates of Competency;
professional certificates;
sea service;
vessel names;
vessel types;
DWT;
main engine information;
ranks served;
contract dates;
employers and management companies;
education;
other CV information.

Automated recognition can contain errors.

Users must review automatically extracted information before saving or publishing a CV.

INMARINE-FZCO does not guarantee that automated extraction will be completely accurate.

8. Photographs

Users may upload photographs or use photographs extracted from uploaded CVs.

The Platform may provide image cropping, positioning and background processing tools.

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to use any photograph they upload.

9. Professional Documents

AtSea Job may allow users to store information relating to:

passports;
Seaman's Books;
Certificates of Competency;
endorsements;
STCW certificates;
medical certificates;
visas;
Flag State documentation;
other professional documents.

The presence of a document on AtSea Job does not constitute verification of its authenticity or validity by INMARINE-FZCO.

Employers remain responsible for performing any required document verification prior to employment.

10. Vacancies

Registered companies may publish vacancies.

Companies must provide accurate information concerning vacancies.

Users must not publish:

knowingly fictitious vacancies;
offers involving unlawful activity;
fraudulent schemes;
vacancies intended solely for unlawful collection of personal data;
content that violates third-party rights.

AtSea Job may remove a vacancy where there are reasonable grounds to believe it violates these Terms.

11. Applications

Seafarers may apply for available vacancies.

When a candidate applies, the relevant company may receive information necessary to review the application.

Submitting an application does not create an obligation for the employer to:

review the candidate within a specific period;
invite the candidate to an interview;
provide feedback;
make an employment offer.
12. Candidate Search

Registered companies may be provided with candidate search and filtering tools.

Search criteria may include:

rank or position;
vessel type;
sea service;
nationality;
availability;
engine experience;
certificates;
professional experience;
other profile parameters.

Candidate information may be used only for legitimate professional recruitment purposes.

Bulk extraction, resale of candidate databases or unrelated marketing use is prohibited.

13. Interview Invitations

Employers may invite candidates to interviews through AtSea Job.

Interviews may be conducted using integrated video communication functionality, including services forming part of the AtSea ecosystem.

An invitation to an interview does not constitute an employment offer.

14. Online Interviews

AtSea Job may provide video communication and other tools for conducting remote interviews.

Connection quality may depend on:

the participants' internet connection;
hardware;
browser;
operating system;
third-party communication infrastructure.

INMARINE-FZCO cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation of every video session.

15. Interview Recording

Where Platform functionality permits interview recording, users must be notified where notification is required by applicable law.

The company initiating a recording is responsible for obtaining any legally required consent or providing any required notice.

16. Internal Employer Comments

AtSea Job may allow authorised company users to create internal comments, notes or assessments relating to candidates and interviews.

Such information is intended for internal use by authorised users of the relevant company.

Users must not use internal comments to:

engage in unlawful discrimination;
harass or insult candidates;
knowingly record false information;
store information unrelated to legitimate professional candidate assessment.
17. User Communications

Users must use AtSea Job communication features responsibly.

Users must not:

send spam;
threaten other users;
distribute malicious software;
attempt to obtain passwords;
solicit unlawful payments;
impersonate another person;
engage in fraud;
knowingly distribute false information.
18. Prohibited Use

AtSea Job must not be used:

for unlawful purposes;
to infringe third-party rights;
to obtain unauthorised system access;
for automated bulk extraction of candidate information;
for scraping without written permission;
to circumvent technical restrictions;
to distribute malicious code;
to interfere with servers;
to sell or resell personal data;
to create fraudulent accounts;
to impersonate another company or person;
to submit forged documents.
19. Personal Data

Personal data processing is governed by the current AtSea Job Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy forms part of the terms applicable to the use of the Platform.

20. Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are governed by these Terms, the Privacy Policy and any separate Cookie Policy published by AtSea Job.

21. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all rights in the AtSea Job software, interface, structure, source code, databases, graphics, logos and other Platform elements belong to INMARINE-FZCO or the relevant rights holders.

Use of the Platform does not transfer ownership of such intellectual property to the user.

Without written permission, users must not:

copy Platform source code;
reproduce the interface;
create derivative commercial products based on the Platform;
use AtSea branding for unauthorised commercial purposes;
reverse engineer the Platform except where applicable law expressly prohibits such restriction.
22. User Content

Rights in CVs, photographs, documents and other user-submitted content remain with the user or relevant rights holder.

By uploading content to AtSea Job, the user grants INMARINE-FZCO a limited, non-exclusive right to use the content only to the extent necessary to:

store it;
process it;
display it;
transmit it to authorised users;
analyse it automatically;
generate CVs;
operate the Platform.

This right ends when the relevant content is deleted, except where retention is required by law, necessary for backup systems or required for legitimate obligations.

23. Third-Party Services

AtSea Job may use or integrate third-party services including:

email providers;
hosting and cloud infrastructure;
video communication services;
artificial intelligence systems;
file storage services;
analytics providers;
payment systems;
authentication services.

Those services may be governed by separate terms.

INMARINE-FZCO is not responsible for independent actions of third-party providers outside its reasonable control.

24. Paid Services

Certain AtSea Job features may be offered on a paid basis.

Applicable pricing, service descriptions and payment conditions should be made available before payment is completed.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchasing paid access does not guarantee employment, candidate placement or execution of an employment agreement.

25. Platform Availability

INMARINE-FZCO aims to maintain reliable Platform operation but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Access may temporarily be limited due to:

maintenance;
software updates;
equipment failures;
network failures;
cyberattacks;
force majeure;
failures of third-party providers.
26. Changes to Functionality

INMARINE-FZCO may:

introduce new features;
modify existing features;
update the interface;
discontinue obsolete features;
change technical requirements.

Users may be notified of material changes where appropriate.

27. Account Suspension

INMARINE-FZCO may temporarily restrict or terminate an account where there are reasonable grounds including:

violation of these Terms;
fraudulent activity;
attempted unauthorised access;
use of forged documents;
unlawful collection of data;
violation of other users' rights;
security threats;
abuse of Platform functionality.

Where appropriate and reasonably possible, the user may be informed of the reason for the restriction.

28. Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account.

Deletion may result in loss of access to CVs, applications, messages and other account information.

Certain information may be retained where required for:

legal compliance;
protection of legitimate interests;
dispute resolution;
fraud prevention;
backup integrity.
29. Relationship Between Candidate and Employer

INMARINE-FZCO is not responsible for the terms of employment or commercial agreements entered into between Platform users.

Candidates and employers independently agree matters including:

salary;
vessel assignment;
rank;
contract duration;
repatriation;
insurance;
medical requirements;
visas;
travel arrangements;
working conditions;
other employment terms.

Each party should conduct its own due diligence before entering into an agreement.

30. Employer Verification

AtSea Job may perform certain company moderation or verification activities.

However, presence of a company on the Platform is not an unconditional guarantee of its solvency, reliability or performance of obligations.

Users should independently evaluate employment offers before assuming obligations.

31. Candidate Verification

A seafarer's presence on AtSea Job does not constitute confirmation of:

document authenticity;
medical fitness;
professional competence;
actual work experience;
absence of employment restrictions.

Employers remain responsible for completing any verification required before employment.

32. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, INMARINE-FZCO shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use or inability to use AtSea Job.

In particular, INMARINE-FZCO does not guarantee:

employment of a candidate;
successful vacancy placement;
accuracy of all information supplied by users;
any particular interview outcome;
performance of future employment agreements;
absence of technical errors;
uninterrupted operation of third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

33. User Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, users may be responsible for damage caused to INMARINE-FZCO or third parties as a result of:

deliberate breach of these Terms;
unlawful use of the Platform;
submission of forged documents;
infringement of third-party rights;
fraudulent activity.
34. Force Majeure

INMARINE-FZCO shall not be responsible for failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including:

natural disasters;
armed conflict;
major network failures;
governmental action;
cyberattacks;
major infrastructure failures;
data centre outages;
similar events.
35. Amendments

INMARINE-FZCO may update these Terms from time to time.

The current version will be published on AtSea Job.

Users may receive additional notice where changes are material.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

36. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, subject to any mandatory laws that may apply to a particular user regardless of this provision.

The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes amicably.

Claims may be submitted to:

Where a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be submitted to a competent court in accordance with applicable law in the United Arab Emirates, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

37. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.

38. No Waiver

Failure by INMARINE-FZCO to enforce a provision immediately does not constitute a waiver of the relevant right.

39. Language

These Terms may be published in Russian and English.

In case of discrepancies between language versions, the English version shall prevail, unless mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.
